I Don’t Believe in “Strategic Philanthropy”, Either

While we’re at it, I don’t particularly believe in “strategic philanthropy” either.

My belief is that any expenditure that a company makes where the intent is to change people’s perceptions or change their behaviours, is marketing. And any investment that is made for those marketing ends needs to be leveraged and measured.

I don’t care what budget the money comes out of. Marketing is marketing. Let’s just call it what it is.
