Every so often, I do a post with a few websites, products, or services that I just love. I’ve now made the executive decision to do that more often, so here goes…
Evernote
I do a ton of research. And I have people in three other countries helping me do more research. Evernote is exactly what I needed. In fact, I’m using it for stuff I never thought I would – gift ideas, fab vacation spots, my shoe wish list, you name it.
Haven’t heard of it? Let me explain – or at least try. Imagine if you can clip anything you want from the web – little snippets or the whole page – plus save any document you can think of, emails, scans, whatever, all to Evernote. You can file everything in different folders and tag it with whatever tags or URLs you want.
Best part? It then synchs to your online Evernote account, which then synchs with any other computer you use. You can share the whole thing, or just certain folders, with anyone you like, and there is a spiffy iPhone application that allows you to capture notes, photos, and even voice notes to Evernote, all synched to your account. How cool is that? Everyone I’ve told about it is totally in love.
New Ebook: Create a Sellout by Ron Goch
I’m a strong marketer, but when it comes to the niche of selling tickets to stuff, no one goes near Ron Goch. Seriously, this e-book is worth a look if you’ve got a team, festival, or other event where ticket sales are critical to your success.
Server Intellect (again)
I have waxed lyrical about my server provider so many times that readers of my blog must think I’m a shareholder (I’m not).
The Power Sponsorship website and blog subdomain have recently migrated to my server at Server Intellect, and my word, those people are so helpful. They have without question the best customer service I have ever come across with an IT provider. And the server is blistering fast. Bonus.
Etsy
If you saw me hard at work at my desk wearing jeans and a sweater, you’d never guess I’m a fashion lover, but I am. I particularly love really unique items. Etsy is absolutely my favourite online resource for handcrafted jewellery, clothing, accessories, art, and more. Plus, they have some very nice vintage pieces. Great for gifts, too.
Lindberg Glasses
I really only wear glasses when I spend long hours in front of the computer, but on the occasion when I do wear them in public – working on long-haul flights, etc – I never fail to get compliments on my glasses. People just love these ultra-light, air (that means “frameless”), titanium glasses, but hardly any of them have heard of Lindberg Glasses. I have two pairs, just in case. Not cheap, but worth every penny.
